Doctor Skeptical Of Dairy Food Link To Fertility
(Cleveland, OH) -- A recent finding that a dish of ice cream a day can spur ovulation has one expert shaking his head. Dr. Tommaso Falcone of the Cleveland Clinic says there's no such thing as a quick fertility fix. Instead, he urged women to use common sense. He says a healthy diet rich in antioxidants such as berries helps many women, as does exercise. Falcone also said to avoid such obvious problems as sexually transmitted infections or smoking. Easing stress can also help couples conceive. Falcone was reacting to a recent study out of the Harvard School of Public Health. Researchers there found that a daily dose of a high-fat dairy foods may help a woman to ovulate. Falcone warns that being overweight can instead lead to ovulation problems and urges caution with the calories. |
