Study: Infant's Birth Weight Impacted By Mom
(Undated) -- A new study is backing up previous research that shows a woman's weight gain during pregnancy could impact the infant's birth weight. Researchers found excessive weight gain during pregnancy consistently resulted in larger infants. After following more than a half a million women during their pregnancies, researchers concluded excessive weight gain during pregnancy could raise the long term risk of obesity in their babies. The study was published online in "Lancet" in August. |
