Researchers Recommend A Glass Of Milk For Garlic Breath
(London) -- Stop garlic breath by drinking a glass of milk. BBC News reports, that tests have shown milk significantly reduces sulphur levels in raw and cooked garlic cloves. It is the sulphur that makes garlic so smelly. Researchers at Ohio State University put milk to the test during a trial. They found it is the water and fat in milk that helps get rid of the garlic odor. However researchers recommend for optimum results to drink the milk while eating garlic. After smelling samples in the trial, a volunteer said full-fat milk worked best at stopping garlic breath. The trial results are published in the "Journal of Food Science."< |
