JNP, Eastside Y To Offer Computer Classes  |

Joint Neighborhood Project and the Eastside Family YMCA will offer computer classes this summer and fall with the cooperation of Prendergast Library and support from the *New York State Librarys Adult Literacy Library Services grant program.*
* *JNP will offer Introduction to Computers in Spanish from 9 a.m. to noon July 26-30. The same course will be given in English from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 4-10.
Adults who need basic computer skills will learn to set up an e-mail account and use the Internet to search for jobs.
JNP will also offer MS Word in Spanish from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2-10 and in English from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 11-19.
Teachers from Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES will help participants develop a resume and use word processing skills.
Patty Perlee, executive director of the Joint Neighborhood Project, said her agency looks forward to serving area adults in need of computer skills.
The Eastside Y will offer three sessions of MS Word in Spanish: 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 2-10 and afternoon classes from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 12-20 and Sept. 13-21.

There is no charge for the computer instruction, which will have an employment focus.
