Edwards to Discuss Budget Challenges with Business Leaders  |

On Wednesday, June 23, 2010 the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce will host its’ annual County Executive Breakfast with Greg Edwards at the Williams Center Horizon Room at SUNY Fredonia. “Clearly the County budget is a significant concern and this meeting with our membership is a great opportunity for the business community to understand the challenges and opportunities ahead,” stated Todd Tranum, President/CEO, Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce. “As the County Executive began discussions about the budget early this spring the Chamber and the Manufacturers Association leadership has been engaged in the process so that we clearly understand the challenges. Importantly as the voice of business in Chautauqua County we must be at the table advocating for the best interests of the business community. We see the County Executive Breakfast as one more opportunity to extend this important discussion and involve a larger component of our membership. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with Greg Edwards.”
"I have been meeting and talking with the leadership of the Chautauqua County Chamber about the budget challenges imposed on our County by the decisions in Albany," stated County Executive Greg Edwards. Creating an environment where businesses can thrive has been one of my priorities and we have had significant success in battling back against the obstacles placed in our way over the last 4 years."
The Annual County Executive Breakfast will begin at 8am. Cost to attend is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members of the Chamber.
