| |
If you’re interested in music and art or just want to get away for the 4th of July weekend, be sure to stop by the Ellicottville Summer Festival of the Arts, at various locations off of Route 219 and the HoliMont and Holiday Valley resorts. It’s happening from July 3 until July 5, starts at 1pm on the 3rd, and lasts until the end of the Three Dog Night concert on Sunday evening. The scheduled events include three concerts, arts and crafts exhibitions, and the popular Strawberry Festival.
On Friday, July 3, there will be a country-western style barbecue and concert on the slopes of HoliMont with Sean Patrick McGraw. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will play a commemorative 4th of July concert on Saturday at Holiday Valle complete with fireworks after the show. If classic rock is more of your thing, Three Dog Night will make an appearance at Holiday Valley on Sunday, July 5th after everything else is over. You can buy tickets ahead of time at tickets.com. General admission for McGraw costs $10, and admission to the other concerts costs $30.
The Festival also offers other events aside from the live music. On Friday, the gazebo is hosting a fiddle contest and family entertainment. The schedule for Saturday includes an arts and crafts show, the annual pet parade, and a sponsor’s reception for all VIP ticket holders.. The Strawberry Festival will take place on Sunday in the festival’s gazebo.
Summer is officially here, so bring your family and friends to the Ellicottville Summer Festival of the Arts. Whether you’re looking forward to the concerts or are coming for the fireworks, there should be plenty there for you to do.
