It seems the younger the bride the more important the bachelorette party is, and the wilder the bachelorette party can become. But for new brides in their thirties and even forties, a wild night of stuffing dollar bills down the shorts of string-panty wearing male dancers may seem somewhat inappropriate. On the flip side, just sitting around the living room sipping drinks with a few girlfriends doesn’t quite seem to fit the occasion either.
If you’re looking to have a bachelorette party that honors the bride without the adolescent antics, consider having the party at a day spa, and treating the party to a full day of spa treatment heaven.
Consider the difference: You could take the girls to a crowded, dark, night club for a night of loud music and getting hit on by the locals or you and the girls could spend the day, at one of the local spas being fawned over while sipping champagne and eating gourmet meals? That’s a big difference.
And here’s the best part; for a party of four, spending the day at the spa will run you about the same as a night on the town.
It’s also about the company. If you’re an older bride, it’s a good bet that the company of your girlfriends on this special day is more important than getting out on the town with the girl friends. You not only want to be with your girlfriends, you also want to talk and laugh with your girlfriends, not always the easiest thing to do in a night club, especially one that specializes in male dancers.

Imagine your bachelorette party going like this: you arrive at the spa early and are welcomed in for a light yoga session to get you relaxed. You move from there to an outdoor patio where light refreshments are served. From there you and the girls head in for full body messages. Then it’s time for lunch, prepared by a chef. Next it’s off to the mud room where everyone is treated to a full mud treatment. Now it’s to the showers, then the pool, then the sauna, and back to the massage tables. Now that’s just a made up schedule, but I think you get the point.
