When deciding on a venue for your wedding reception you have a lot to think about. But before you sign any contract or make the final decision, take a look at the following suggesting to make sure you have considered everything you should be thinking about when choosing the right location for your wedding reception.
Will you want all the reception services covered by the venue or will you be hiring vendors separately? If you want all the services to be covered under one roof, you will want to look at restaurants, private clubs and hotels as possible venues. These locations will offer complete wedding services with food and decoration all included. In addition, by using only one vendor for many services you may just save a little money as well. The down side of using only one vendor for multi services is that you may find your choices are reduced as far as menu items and possible times are concerned.
If you choose a location like a private home or a venue with no services you may find you have more flexibility as far as times and personal decor is involved, but you will have to do lot more coordinating between your vendors to make sure everything goes as you want. If this is the route you are looking to go, it’s a good idea to hire a wedding planner or at least to enlist help organizing and coordinating the vendors with your venue.
For many couples getting married it does come down to costs, so be careful not to forget miscellaneous items like rental items such as tables, table ware, tents and other necessary items that you may need for your wedding reception. These costs can quickly run out of control and if you choose a venue with no supplies, you will have to do a lot of renting and that can get very expensive, very quickly.
Choosing the right venue for your wedding reception will ultimately come down to where you feel the most comfortable. But just remember not to be blinded by your love of a particular place. If the details are there, you won’t be happy, regardless of how much you love a particular place.
