Make a Wedding Website By: Loreetta Legend |

So you’re getting married. You probably have a lot to think about and a lot you need to do. But before you get too involved, there’s a new trend in weddings that’s really starting to catch on and it’s something you may want to seriously consider. The new trend is creating a wedding website and it’s easier and more useful than you may guess.
Why make a wedding website? Well, the number one reason would be the convenience having a wedding website can create. As example, once you announce your wedding, your guests are going to want to know a lot of information, not only about the wedding, but about you and your spouse to be.
A wedding website is a great way to communicate your story without having to talk to each person individually, retelling the same story over and over again.
Here’s what a typical wedding website might include:
• The story of how you met and a brief history of the wedding couple.
• An introduction of the wedding party, who they are, and why they are important to you.
• Important wedding information. Although you put everything on the invitation, your wedding website is a great place to reprint all the important information about the wedding; what church the ceremony will take place, the time, the reception location and time, parking info, rehearsal dinner info, any necessary driving directions, etc…
• It’s also a great place to put information for the wedding party, where the tuxedos are being rented from, what time they need to show up for the ceremony and where the wedding party will be meeting, etc…
• You can also link to your registry and create a RSVP section.
After the wedding you can post photos and video up to your site so that they can be enjoyed by all your friends and family, whether they were able to make it to the wedding or not.
Best of all, by using a service like myspace.com, it’s totally free. So it’s not another expense, just a great way to share your wedding information and to communicate efficiently with everyone involved with your wedding.
